D-1 to Ireland

You know what most people do when they think they exist in a dream?

They pinch themselves.

I have pinched myself many times, and thankfully I have not woken up because holy shit, I highly prefer not to awake from a dream as good as this. That's what 2023 has been so far. A series of miracle after miracle and way too many milestones to even properly process. A single workshop turned into a 2-year actor training program and a life-changing work attachment with a historic theatre production at the Victoria Theatre. One phone call turned into a feature film lead role and an additional role as the assistant producer of said film. It took a few missed shots and some false starts, but I actually received the Theatre Studies Special Prize and the Hochstadt Scholarship over my extraordinary summer session.

And now, one day to Ireland - my luggage is packed and ready. I'm left with my electronics, a few hair products, some towels and as the pandemic has proved very important, toilet rolls. I have admitted to plenty of people that I am very dependent and sheltered in Singapore, so this trip is really going to be a huge test of my ability to live independently. I'm incredibly excited for everything, and hopefully I would make the best of my time abroad.

Onward, to a new season.
